For a fun twist to our regular beer offerings, join us each Tuesday for a uniquely crafted small batch brew, only available at our tap room. The “NoDable Series” will showcase beer styles & flavors to the public in small quantities that otherwise would not be possible on a larger scale. It should be a lot of fun and educational for everyone involved. If one of the NoDable releases becomes a success, we might even add it to our daily beer menu.

What in the world is a BARTigyle?! BARTigyle is similar to a partigyle, we just add some NoDa flair to it with our assistant brewer, Bart. Partigyle brewing allows us to take the grain from NoDaRyeZ’d that is no longer sweet enough (not enough fermentable sugars) and use it again (second runnings) rather than waste it. Essentially what partigyle brewing allows us to do is be more efficient by making two separate batches of beer from one batch of grain. This second batch is of lower ABV but can be different in taste by using different hops, yeast, and/or spices.
August 7, 2012 – Pacific Reign – Imperial IPA. This week’s release is a sneak peak of our next bottle release. ABV – 9.8% ~ IBU – 108 ~ SRM – 8

June 19, 2012 – Woody & Wilcox IPA. Created for the 106.5 The End’s morning program, Woody & Wilcox. This beer is an American IPA with an assertive hop character and balancing malty backbone. The hops used give it a piney, citrus laced aroma and a bright, earthy bittering finish that we’ve come to know for American IPAs. It uses Columbus, Magnum, Cascade and Santiam hops throughout the brew to achieve this hop character and utilizes four different malts to give it the golden amber colored body and the flavor of caramel along with some toasty bread notes. ABV – 6% ~ SRM – 9.7 ~ IBU – 60
June 12, 2012 – Natural Blond – Belgian Blond Ale. Belgian Blond Ales are slightly stronger than Belgian pale ales, closer to the ABV of a Belgian Dubbel, but with the same rich and bright character of the Belgian Pale Ale. We used Belgian abbey yeast to give it a rich fruit forward yeast character. ABV – 7.6% ~ SRM – 7.1 ~ IBU – 19
June 4, 2012 – Ghost Hop Randalized through Fresh Basil. Come see our randal in action. Oh so tasty!
May 29, 2012 – Autopilot – Amercian Blonde Ale. This is somewhat of a summer “lawnmower” ale. It’s easy drinking and refreshing but to make it NoDable, we hopped it heavily in the late part of the boil and dry hopped with lots of Amarillo and Santiam hops. This gives a huge grapefruit & orange-like aroma and initial taste without overly bitter finish. ABV – 4.8% ~ SRM – 6.8 ~ IBU – 40

January 31, 2012 – Dirty Monkey is a chocolate infused Dunkelweisse. Dunkelweisse’s are basically dark hefeweisses but this one takes it up a notch. We add chocolate malt as well as roasted coco nibs to enhance the sweeter dark malt character and then ferment the beer hot so that the banana and clove notes from the German wheat beer yeast comes out strong. ABV – 5.4% ~ IBU – 17.5 ~ SRM – 26

This baby is packed with Summit, Centennial, Summit, Warrior, Summit, Cascade, and oh did I mention Summit. ABV – 7% ~ IBU – 80 ~ SRM – 15
January 10, 2012 – S’more Porter is exactly what it sounds like. A graham cracker milk porter with chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Heavy amounts of biscuit malt accompanying ACTUAL graham crackers in the mash give this porter a bready sweetness and bits of Hersey Dark Chocolate & Lactose add the signature chocolate notes and thickness of freshly roasted marshmallows. Add a little bit of smoke malt to for that “by the campfire” feel and finish with vanilla and you have yourself one tasty NoDable brew! ABV – 5.8% ~ IBU – 27 ~ SRM – 27

For the holiday week, we offer up our Naughty List. Every year Santa plagues the poor naughty people of the world with coal in their stockings. This is a problem that we at NoDa have decided to fix. ABV – 7.2% ~ IBU – 29 ~ SRM – 20
CHAIlie Brown is our 7th beer in the NoDable Series. Spiced with organic vanilla beans, fennel seeds, coriander, cloves, cinnamon sticks, black pepper and whole nutmeg for a modest chai spice in a slightly sweet, low hopped English Brown ale. ABV – 4.4% ~ IBU – 17 ~ SRM ~ 21
Don’t be scared, it’s only Ghost Hop, our 6th NoDable Series release. This spookily pale IPA (white IPA) technically doesn’t exist in style guidelines. It is the contrast to the now commonly seen Dark/Black IPAs or Cascadian Dark Ales.
The beer is a unique contrast from the standard IPA recipe. It is hopped like a normal IPA and has a standard IPA malt bill MINUS any dark caramelized or crystal malts. A heavy amount of White Wheat adds body & head retention and the lack of the darker caramel malts leave this beer as pale as a Belgian Wit, which is the other twist… This beer is fermented on Belgian Wit yeast as opposed to the typical Californian yeast you would find in most IPAs. ABV – 6% ~ IBU – 68 ~ SRM – 4
Our 5th NoDable Series release is Belgian Baster, a Belgian Dubbel. This Belgian dark hued ale with lots of malty and Belgian yeast character accented for the recent holiday with fresh cranberries & cinnamon giving it a unique spice that you’d never expect from a Belgian style ale. Feels like Thanksgiving all over again. ABV – 7.4% ~ IBU – 20 ~ SRM – 17
Are you ready for some Morning NoDaVation? The 4th beer in our NoDable Series is a breakfast stout worth waking up for. An easy drinking stout with dark malts and chocolaty character infused with Costa Rican and Sumatran coffee blends cold pressed for us right down the road at Smelly Cat. Adding to the mouth-feel and backbone of the flavor is a heaping portion of oatmeal. ABV – 5.8% ~ IBU – 40 ~ SRM – 38 Watch Video >
Our 3rd NoDable Series release was Barn Hopper, a Farmhouse IPA. A fusion of an American IPA & a Saison blends American & Belgian malt with a heavy hop load of American Centennials and notes of Tettanger, a spicy German hop used sometimes in Saisons. We’ve spiced it lightly with seeds of paradise and bitter orange peel to give it the citrus character of an IPA while still being spiced like a Saison. ABV – 7.5% ~ IBU – 80 ~ SRM – 9.3
Our 2nd NoDable Series release was Ryet Spice Belgian Wit. Our Belgian Wit substitutes the flaked oats with flaked rye and adds lavender, thyme & coriander to the mix. ABV – 4.8% ~ IBU – 18 ~ SRM – 4 We are thinking about bringing it back in the spring.
Midnight Madness was the first in our first NoDable Series release and was tapped on Tuesday, 11/1. This is our version of a Cascadian Dark Ale, more commonly known as a Black IPA. Made with four hop varieties: Cascade, Warrior, Centennial and Chinook. ABV – 6.65% ~ IBU – 71 ~ SRM – 43 It was a huge success and will be back as an offering in our regular line-up.
