About
Norse mythology tells of a monstrously large wolf, one of the children of Loki. This wolf, Fenrir, was prophesized to end the rule of the Asgard gods. Through paranoia and fear, Odin and other gods tricked Fenrir, binding him in magical chains, muzzling his mouth with a sword, and stringing him up in a tree for all time in Hell. When he was freed, via Loki's actions, he rampaged through Asgard and swallowed Odin at the beginning of Ragnarok. This story inspired this unique and robust Rye Strong Ale.
It was brewed in the Scandanavian farmhouse tradition called raw brewing, where the wort is never boiled, and fermented on Kviek Hornidal yeast. This hearty and slightly spicy brew was then aged for 10 months in whiskey barrels.
