About
Fest Fuel, a traditional German Festbier (aka Oktoberfest, Weisn, or Theresaweisn,) is our take on the beer style that is most commonly served at today's German Oktoberfest.
While many American-made Oktoberfest beers, including our Oktoberfest, are based on the Märzen style (amber in color and more robust in maltiness) which was seen at the original Oktoberfest celebrations. These modern German Oktoberfests or Festbiers are actually much lighter in color. While these modern beers still boast a solid malt backbone with subtle hop balance, the malt is far lighter in flavor and character than the Marzen variations.
Fest Fuel is also gluten-reduced in case those with gluten sensitivity want to experience the style, as well.
Brewed dominantly with German Pilsner malt with the accent of German Vienna malt and a touch of Munich. It's balanced with Hallertau Mittlefruh and Tettnanger hops. This beer is full-bodied, malty, and still approachable for all your festivity needs!
Get the 6% ABV Fest Fuel on draft at our North End taproom beginning Friday, September 4th.
