This style is an Export/Dortmunder lager, which is slightly more robust than a Helles lager but still very balanced and drinkable.

This lager get its name from the use of Isariah 1924 Barley from Weyermann Malting Company. The Isariah 1924 Barley is an heirloom variety and was one of the first officially sanctioned brewing-exclusive barley varieties in Germany. Weyermann Malting Company has worked to re-cultivate this variety to act as a base grain. The grain gives a malty character that is more robust than Pilsner malt but not as biscuity as Vienna malt.
