Twilight of the Thunder God Release

Twilight of the Thunder God is an Imperial Nordic Stout aged in whiskey barrels from Oaklore Distilling Co. located in Matthews, NC.

This beer is brewed "raw" which is a historic way of making beer and is currently a standard brewing method in Scandinavia. The beer is not boiled but heated to a temperature that is still hot enough to sanitize. Since it doesn't boil, the starch chains and protein complexes remain intact adding a unique richness to the beer that would otherwise be removed by the boil breakdown.

The name, Twilight of the Thunder God, references the fatal battle between the Norse God of Thunder, Thor, against the world serpent, Jormungandr, in which are both killed in the great end-of-world battle, Ragnarok.
